Writing and Book Selling Update

The eBook give-a-way 2 weeks ago went pretty well. I am still waiting and hoping for the time when I will have enough followers to give away hundreds instead of dozens of books, but that time will come - hopefully.

Spring Time Garden Time

With the nice weather, it is time to get out in the garden

Writing

I am hard at work on the third book in my Blade Holmes western mystery series. The weather has turned spring-like and we have enjoyed some outside time, seems that spring always rejuvenates my writing juices, and that's a good thing.

I have a new Facebook Author Page up and running - check it out here..

Get out and enjoy the weather, and read a good book this week.

My Tenth Book is Finished

Book ten is complete, waiting for my review copies, should be here by the middle of the week.

This one is quite a bit of an, off the rails, book for me. Hope it does well.

More information to come.

Christmas Time

As happens each year at this time I have fallen behind. But, we enjoy this time of year even if it normally means a few excess pounds for me. Can't wait to see if I can get some momentum going in 2018, if it all goes great, I might get out three books. Crossing fingers.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2018

Book Seven Almost For Sale

This morning I got the proof copies of the newest of my kid’s novels, my seventh book overall. This one is book three in the series and is titled, Yikes – My Neighbor’s A Vampire.

The book looked good, and formatting was spot on. My wife, as always is my first reader when the proof copies come. Others will also read, one maybe two people, but my wife reads the stories first. She is a terrific first reader as we have been married long enough that she will tell me the truth about what doesn’t work, and what she does not like.

The problem – she found something she didn’t like. Each chapter has a picture on the first page, Jan didn’t like where I put some of them. In my first two books the pictures told a bit of the story to follow, but in this one, I put a few after the story on the heading for the next chapter. I thought it was clever and creative, she didn’t think so, now looking at it, she’s right. Darn it!

Looks like I will be spending some time moving pictures around, along with the usual fixing of things my readers find. Oh well, that’s what readers are for.

Work – work – work, a writer’s job is seldom never done.

Western Short Stories - Looks Like Readers Are Loving Them

I cannot say how terrific it feels to see my book of Christmas short stories is still selling. Although the stories are set around Christmas, they are stories for any time of the year. The short tales are more of love, hope, relationships and most of all, the west.

The book did well before Christmas and is still going strong, selling a few copies, now, nearly every day. I often get notes on blog posts or by email about my books, and occasionally by mail. Recently I received a most heartwarming note about this book. It was so appreciated, as all of us that write hope that we are making a difference in our readers day, if nothing else, but to bring a bit more pleasure and happiness into someone’s life.
