Christmas Time

As happens each year at this time I have fallen behind. But, we enjoy this time of year even if it normally means a few excess pounds for me. Can't wait to see if I can get some momentum going in 2018, if it all goes great, I might get out three books. Crossing fingers.

Western Short Stories - Looks Like Readers Are Loving Them

I cannot say how terrific it feels to see my book of Christmas short stories is still selling. Although the stories are set around Christmas, they are stories for any time of the year. The short tales are more of love, hope, relationships and most of all, the west.

The book did well before Christmas and is still going strong, selling a few copies, now, nearly every day. I often get notes on blog posts or by email about my books, and occasionally by mail. Recently I received a most heartwarming note about this book. It was so appreciated, as all of us that write hope that we are making a difference in our readers day, if nothing else, but to bring a bit more pleasure and happiness into someone’s life.

Order The Books - Sell the Books

It's that time of year again. I made a rather big order of my books for distribution, this summer. I peddle these to local and area booksellers and take them with me on speaking engagements. 

We Got a Few Drops of Rain With a Very Nice Sunset Today

I like having the ability to sell books out of the trunk or a big box. Great chance to talk with readers. I sign all of these books, and my nonfiction books have a custom bookmark with them as well. I am looking at designing another bookmark for my westerns. Right now I just enclose a nice business card with web and blog sites, and a where to, for purchasing digital books. 

I Ordered Copies of All But My Two Young Adult Books
 Next Month for Those, as I have a Few Left From Last Purchase. 

All projects going very well right now looks like I will, at last, get my new book out - timeline now by the end of the month. After that, I have another historical fiction and a novella, a western that should follow relatively quickly. By then the snow will be in the air, and it will be time to get back to work on my nonfiction.

Book Sales In Australia

So far this month I am selling more of my western eBook (Commitment) in Australia than in the United States. Happy to have those buyers from down under. We spent a wonderful two weeks there a few years ago, and if I sell enough books for airfare, we would love to go again. Makes me feel good to be gaining some traction as an author in Australia. 

I have been considering writing a western set in Australia since our visit; now I am excited to get started. After the two projects, I am presently working on, of course.

Oh – I am selling quite a few copies of the physical book in the United States. Must be many people like myself that, at least occasionally, like to hold a book in their hands. I think, as a buyer, I am about 50/50 between books and eBooks.
